Frequently asked questions

WHAT IS YOUR VENUE'S CAPACITY?


Our 16-acre venue is very spacious, we can accommodate up to 175 guests in July and August. In Spring and Fall we ask that couples keep their guest count below 150. We love hosting micro weddings too!




DOES YOUR VENUE RENTAL INCLUDE CHAIRS AND TABLES?


Our venue includes chairs and tables for up to 175 guests. We do not provide linens, napkins, or glassware. Our team will help with set up and tear down of tables and chairs, but we ask that couples invite 3-4 of their best buds to assist in the process. For couples that are looking for a more full service experience, we highly recommend hiring a staffing team to take care of set up and tear down as well, we love The Waitstaff Team!




CAN I CHOOSE MY OWN CATERER?


Of course, we do not have ANY external vendor fees – check out our 2021 Policies and Procedures to see if your favorite caterer will mesh well with our venue. We have a small refrigerator and ice machine onsite for caterer use. Please note that SLE does not provide any in-house catering services, i.e. cake cutting, bussing tables, hauling trash and recycling, etc.




WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON ALCOHOL?


We allow beer, wine, cider, champagne and hard alcohol when served by a licensed and insured bartender. You may bring your own alcohol. Springwater Lakes Estate does not sell alcohol. We love to connect couples with our favorite bar tenders, so just ask!




DOES YOUR VENUE HAVE ANY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS?


You will need general liability insurance of $1,000,000. The policy must include host liquor coverage (if you will be serving alcohol at your event) and list Springwater Lakes Estate as an additional insured. If coverage is not available through your existing renters or homeowners insurance, a single day event policy can be purchased through www.wedsafe.com. Please submit a copy of the certificate of insurance to Springwater Lakes Estate at least 30 days prior to your event.




HOW DO I BOOK MY DATE?


Dates are reserved on a first come first serve basis. In order to reserve your date, we require a signed rental agreement and a non-refundable deposit equal to one-third of your venue rental fee. SLE will reserve dates for couples up to 18 months in advance. For dates booked more than 1 year in advance, Springwater Lakes Estate offers a special "Save the Date Agreement". This agreement will lock in your date, but allows for policy and price changes to remain in effect.

DO YOU HAVE A BRIDAL SUITE?


in bringing in their own getting ready space. We recommend a few options that have worked well for brides in the past. 1.) Bring in a mobile bridal suite like 3birdscaravan.com 2.) Rent a trailer, toy hauler, RV, etc. to bring onsite for the entire day (standard electricity available), or 3.) Get ready off-site at a local hotel or Airbnb.




WHAT ABOUT COVID?


Springwater Lakes Estate will follow Clackamas County Guidelines in accordance with event size restrictions. In the event that lockdown restrictions for event sizes drop below 50 persons, Springwater Lakes Estates offers couples the opportunity to reschedule their event date to another available day within the 2021/2022 venue calendar year with no fee. Springwater Lakes Estate is a faith institution welcoming couples of all religion, spiritual, secular, etc. backgrounds. Springwater Lakes Estates offers in-house officiant services (based on availability). Our ordained minister is certified through the Univeral Life Church Ministry.




WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?


In the event of cancellation, Springwater Lake Estate requires written notice. A couple's deposit amounts are non refundable as it reflects the venue owner’s inability to book another event on this date and potentially lose revenue in the event of a cancellation.




DOES YOUR VENUE HAVE RESTROOMS ONSITE?


Springwater Lakes Estate offers two, wheel-chair accessible, flush restrooms with running water for guest use. Our restrooms are located right by the parking area, just a short walk (approx. 100 yds) from the barn.




DO YOU PROVIDE DAY OF COORDINATION SERVICES?


Springwater Lakes Estate is happy to offer Day of Coordination services for our clients (based on availability) for full day coordination coverage. Our team will work with you to build and execute your perfect wedding day timeline. We'll meet with you for a final walkthrough 2-4 weeks prior to your event, coordinate your 1-hr ceremony rehearsal and be right along side you your entire wedding day, we stay until tear down is complete. Contact us for our current fees.




DOES YOUR BARN HAVE HEAT OR A/C?


The barn at Springwater Lakes Estate is not climate controlled, therefore we only host events May thru October. When it gets a bit chilly, couples rent propane patio heaters to provide radiant heat for their guests. When it gets a bit warm, we open up the big barn doors (all 13 of them) and let the breeze in!




CAN I HOST A CEREMONY REHEARSAL AT YOUR VENUE?


Springwater Lakes Estate offers couples the opportunity to host a 1-hour ceremony rehearsal prior to their wedding on location at SLE. This rehearsal time is included in the venue rental fee. For weekend weddings (Fri/Sat/Sun) rehearsals take place on the Thursday before the big day.




DOES YOUR VENUE ALLOW FOOD TRUCKS?


Yes! We love having food trucks, bar trailers, mobile ice cream/cookie stations, etc. at our venue. Please keep in mind that we do require that all trailers be self-sufficient. Springwater Lakes Estate does not provide water or power hook ups.
